Clinical summary:

FNA of right jugulodigastric lymph node.

This 21 year old woman was referred to a fine needle aspiration service for sampling of a right jugulodigastric (level 2) lymph node. A single sample was taken by palpation with a 27G needle using a Cameco syringe holder. Three direct smears prepared using the "one-step" smearing method of Lowhagen were stained with Diff-Quik, PAP and MGG (last two shown below).
